It has been a while since our family has been able to go out to eat together. We've been trying to slim down our budget in all areas, and eating out with a family of 12 can get REALLY expensive, even at a modestly priced place like Chick Fil A.
But, as it turns out, Chick Fil A has a new recipe for chicken strips - AND they are excellent at marketing their new product! So after one unsucessful attempt to go on Wednesday, (this is me admitting that our family is quite normal and we are unsucessful on MANY first attempts), on Thursday, August 16th, our family went to try Chick Fil A's new chicken strips for free!
Though we had to pull off a covert operation to secure 3 booths, and though the place was crowded like Best Buy on Black Friday, it was well worth the trip. (And it was a trip - a good 30 minutes).
We paid for a couple of fries and had leftover calandar coupons for several drinks and milkshakes, so in all, our family got:12 Boxes of Chicken Strips (3 strips each) = Free
5 Drinks = 3 Free, 2 for $2.50
4 Milkshakes = Free
3 Fries = $3.75
TOTAL for a family of 12 to eat out on a Chick Fil A promotion = $6.25 (give or take a few cents)
